Robyn Petersen was born in Ft. Myers, Florida and raised in the metro Atlanta area. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Human Services with a concentration in criminal justice from Georgia State University in 1998, and was on the Dean’s List 23 times in her major.

Ms. Petersen received her paralegal certification from the National Center for Paralegal Training (NCPT) in 1999. At that time, NCPT was the only American Bar Association approved paralegal certification school in the state. While attending NCPT she was consistently on the Dean's List.

Ms. Petersen is very involved in the community, particularly with Hands on Atlanta where she was a volunteer teacher for underprivileged children. She is currently pursuing domestic violence facilitation certification.

Ms. Petersen has been employed with Mr. Scheib since 1998.

Gilbert Abad

Gilbert Abad was born in Texas and now resides in Gwinnett County. He attended Georgia Perimeter College, where he earned an Associates of Science degree and graduated from Georgia State University, where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

While attending Georgia State University, Mr. Abad did his internship at the Law Office of Dennis R. Scheib. After graduating from GSU, he worked for numerous attorneys and gained experience in Immigration law, Georgia Workers’ Compensation law, and Georgia Criminal Defense law. Currently, Mr. Abad is a legal assistant at the Law Office of Dennis R. Scheib and has returned to school to earn a MBA.  

Mr. Abad is fluent in Spanish and specializes in serving the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients. He has worked independently as an interpreter for other attorneys. Additionally, Mr. Abad donates his time and resources to his family, the Georgia Innocent Project, the Knights of Columbus, and the Libertarian Party.

Rashid Abdul-Salaam

Rashid Abdul-Salaam is owner and president of Rasheed & Associates, specializing in federal and state criminal defense investigations. Mr. Abdul-Salaam has provided investigatory services for the Law Office of Dennis R. Scheib for more than 5 years, and among other achievements, was instrumental in locating the witness whose testimony led to Gucci Mane’s acquittal. He was also the investigator for NFL player Ray Lewis’ murder defense and was a consultant in the New York World Trade Center bombing case.

Mr. Abdul-Salaam was a Presidential Ceremonial Guard in the US Navy, a deputy sheriff in Littleton, Colorado, and has been involved in criminal defense investigation for more than 20 years.

Stevee Ashlock
Criminal Defense Trial Consultant

Stevee Ashlock specializes in trial consultation for murder, rape, assault, weapons and drug cases, and has worked with the Law Office of Dennis R. Scheib for 5 years. Ms. Ashlock assists with jury selection, profiling, analysis and evaluation. Additional services include evaluation of documents, assuring positive client presentation, and courtroom observation. She has participated in numerous high profile criminal trials, working side-by-side with attorneys and witnesses in refining strategies used in the courtroom to elevate jury awareness and comprehension of evidence.

Approximately 90% of the juries that Ms. Ashlock has helped select for the Law Office of Dennis Scheib have returned verdicts of not guilty.

Ms. Ashlock is the author of “Credibility is Believability: Success in the Courtroom”, and is a syndicated columnist, among other nationally recognized accomplishments.
